Lead The Way Therapy is a growing pediatric therapy practice seeking a passionate Occupational Therapist to join our team.

Are you an Occupational Therapist who loves working with kids in a play-based, supportive environment? Whether you’re a seasoned therapist or a new grad, we’d love to have you join our growing team in our brand-new clinic in Glendale Heights, Illinois!

At Lead The Way Therapy, we serve children through both Early Intervention and private clinic-based therapy, helping families in the northwest suburbs who are waiting for services or looking for individualized care. We believe in connection, collaboration, and meaningful therapeutic relationships — all while keeping play at the heart of learning.

You’ll be part of a team that values continuing education, offers mentorship opportunities, and encourages therapists to grow their skills in sensory integration, motor development, self-regulation, and DIR/Floortime-based approaches.

This role includes a blend of early intervention (EI) and in-clinic services, allowing therapists to build a well-rounded pediatric caseload.

What You’ll Do

  • Conduct occupational therapy evaluations to assess developmental, sensory, and motor needs.
  • Develop individualized, family-centered goals and treatment plans.
  • Provide play-based therapy sessions both in the clinic and in natural environments (homes, daycares) for early intervention clients.
  • Support children’s growth through engaging, floor-time style interactions that promote connection, communication, and regulation.
  • Document sessions and progress in alignment with professional and insurance requirements.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of therapists to support the whole child.
  • Empower families with strategies to continue progress at home.

Who You Are

  • Licensed Occupational Therapist (Illinois) – required.
  • Experienced or interested in working with children from birth to school-age.
  • Passionate about play-based learningsensory integrationreflex integration and relationship-driven care.
  • Organized, collaborative, and eager to keep learning.
  • Experience or interest in DIR/Floortime or Early Intervention – mentoring and training provided!

Position Options

Part-Time

  • 10-25 clients per week
  • Hourly pay: $50/hr to $65/hr
  • Flexible scheduling

Full-Time (Salaried)

  • Caseload capped at no more than 28 children per week
  • Up to $10,000 annual bonus for exceeding productivity goals
  • Annual salary: $75,000 to $105,000
  • Paid as a salary (not per visit)
