Pediatric Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) – Early Intervention and Private Clinic

Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Pediatric Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with young children and experience in providing early intervention services in a private clinic setting. As a Pediatric Occupational Therapy Assistant, you will assist the Occupational Therapist in evaluating, treating and developing treatment plans for children with a variety of developmental, sensory and motor challenges.

Responsibilities:

* Assist the Occupational Therapist in conducting assessments, evaluations and developing individualized treatment plans for children.
* Deliver occupational therapy services in a variety of settings, including clinic-based and home-based sessions, under the direction of the Occupational Therapist.
* Work collaboratively with families, caregivers, and other professionals to ensure comprehensive care for each child.
* Implement treatment plans, including therapeutic exercises, sensory integration, and other interventions.
* Continuously monitor and document progress towards goals and objectives.
* Maintain accurate documentation in accordance with regulatory and ethical standards.

Qualifications:

* Associate’s degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program.
* State licensure as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA).
* Minimum of 1 year of experience working with young children, preferably in an early intervention setting.
* Knowledge and experience in treating children with a variety of developmental, sensory, and motor challenges.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
* Strong organizational and time-management skills.
* Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.
